Research Seed Grants
The
Research & Education Foundation and
SHOUT jointly make available research seed grants
through this scheme.
The grants are open to any of the health care professions, academic
disciplines or other relevant background in the Sligo General Hospital
catchment area of the
HSE North West. The project/principal applicant
must have some affiliation with
Sligo
General Hospital.
The Foundation is pleased to announce the
Research Seed Grant Scheme 2012. This year a total of
€20,000
will be made available under this scheme, up to a max of
€5,000
for each grant.
There are two grant categories:
Category I (total of €10,000):
Oncology/Haematology Research, Sponsored by SHOUT
Category II (total of €10,000): Other Research,
sponsored by the Research & Education Foundation and Sligo General
Hospital.

An independent committee will review applications and
notification will take place late November with the official
announcements made at the 13th Annual Research Conference on
November 30 2012.
The deadline for submissions is
October 5 2012
